Accreditation Federation Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct outlines the ethical and legal standards of behavior expected from all members of the Accreditation Federation. It represents a commitment to uphold higher standards of integrity and professionalism, exceeding legal requirements. Adherence to this code is mandatory for continued membership in the Federation, and violations may result in disciplinary actions, including suspension or expulsion.

Member Responsibilities and Conduct

1. Impartiality and Independence: Every member must ensure impartiality in their evaluations and decisions, avoiding any actions that compromise their judgment. Members are expected to take all reasonable measures to ensure the accuracy and fairness of their decisions.

2. Integrity and Professionalism: Members must conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism at all times, promoting the credibility and reputation of the Federation. Any actions that could potentially harm the Federation’s reputation should be avoided.

3. Diligence and Care: Members are required to perform their roles diligently and with care, making informed decisions based on the best available evidence and in the best interests of the Federation and its stakeholders.

4. Conflict of Interest: Members must disclose any conflicts of interest to the Federation’s Board through the Secretary. This includes any potential situations that might influence or appear to influence their impartial judgment.

5. Confidentiality: Members must treat all sensitive information acquired through their roles as confidential unless disclosure is required by law or explicitly authorized by the rightful owner of the information. This includes respecting the privacy and proprietary information of all parties involved.

6. Reporting and Compliance: If members face ethical dilemmas or become aware of potential breaches of this Code, they are obligated to report these issues to the Federation’s Board through the Secretary. All reports will be handled promptly and discreetly in accordance with the Federation's Complaints Procedure.

This code serves as a guideline for the expected conduct of all members, reinforcing the Federation’s commitment to ethical practices and maintaining the trust of the public and stakeholders.
